Caution! Don't Marry Career Women!

I was working on my computer. Suddenly something on the news caught my attention. It was a report about a Forbes editorial on careers and marriage.  Apparently, Forbes magazine Editor-in-Chief, Michael Noer, stated men should not marry career women.

What? I couldn’t believe my ears. Did I get that right? I dropped what I was doing and turned up the TV. Yup! It was true.  Some researchers alleged they found professional women are more likely to get divorced, more likely to cheat, less likely to have children and if they do have kids, they are more likely to be unhappy about it.

After the news clip, I went online to check out the full story.

I was shocked. Seriously, I was truly shocked.

Living in today’s culture and environment, a woman is encouraged to get an education, build a career, reach her full potential and fulfill all her dreams. So what should we do differently?  Look at our economic situation.   It is an indisputable fact we need to work, so we can afford to live in a respectable manner (meaning no free hand-outs.)

I see no reason to make any excuse to do what we do and to be what we want to be.  Men just have to take us as we are.

With that said, I have a question for Mr. Noer and those researchers. If men should not marry women with careers, then whom should they marry? Gold diggers? For all I know, gold diggers still work to support themselves until they can find someone to support them.
